HAYRIDES at THE FARMERS DAUGHTER

Sept. 26th-Oct. 31st, 2016 Weekdays only, we offer scheduled hayrides.

Package A: A Visit To Farmer Jack's Pumpkin Patch

The adventure starts on a scenic hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Here the chil­dren will have fun playing and picking their pumpkin from the field. The hayride then continues through the pumpkin patch and around the farm to finish at the pergola where hay bales are placed for the children to sit and enjoy a snack (that you provide) and we will provide apple juice. After they enjoy their snack, the children will listen to a short story and learn about different kinds of pumpkins and how they are grown. Package B: Fall Fun On The Farm 

The adventure starts on a scenic hayride out to the pumpkin patch. Here the children will have fun playing and picking their pumpkin from the field. After pumpkin picking children can enjoy time in the corn maize, and straw bale maze. Also try pumpkin bowing, pumpkin putting, pumpkin checkers, and sac races, and visit with our furry animal friends. GOURMET MUSHROOM HUNTING SEASONS IN RHODE ISLAND

Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 5pm
Mushroom hunting is easy, and it is also safe, when done properly.  This year, the author of Gourmet Mushrooms of Rhode Island and his partner Emily will present a class during each of R.I.'s four major mushroom seasons.  Each class will cover different gourmet mushrooms, using a slideshow of beautiful local photography, and will discuss different aspects of America's mushroom hunting culture.  Weather permitting, each class will begin with a 15-minute guided walk around the farm's property.

  • Cost of the class is $30.00

OUR HARVEST FESTIVAL WILL RUN EVERY WEEKEND STARTING; 
September 24th & 25th thru October 29th & 30th  10am to 4pm

CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTIES DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

Have Your Birthday Party on the Farm Your party will include a hayride around the farm to our pumpkin patch for pumpkin picking, and an activity of pumpkin painting.

  • Party times are at 11am and 2pm daily 
  • Grounds fee is $150.00 for 2 hours and $8.00 per child for activities

14TH ANNUAL PUMPKIN LAUNCH

Saturday, November 5th, 2016 12:30 -2:00pm

Pumpkin registration starts at 12:15. First pumpkin will launch at 12:30. If your pumpkin has a direct hit on a target, you’ll win a prize. The event is FREE to attend but we kindly ask that you please bring 2 non-perishable food items per pumpkin. All donated items will be sent to the Jonnycake Center Food Pantry!
